I am the Assistant Education Coordinator at the Sapelo Island NERR. I am originally from Belleville, IL, but I’ve been living in Brunswick, GA for about 6 years. I earned my B.S. in Environmental Studies from SUNY-ESF in Syracuse, NY and I’m working on my M.A. in Biology. I started working on the Georgia coast with a nature center in Georgia’s 4-H program where I cared for loggerhead sea turtles, other reptiles, and a variety of marine species. I also lead kayak tours and educational programs into the marsh, onto the beach, and through maritime forests. My husband and I enjoy coastal living with our two adopted dogs and cat.
